On this week’s episode of the We Like Sportz Podcast we discuss the Browns draft results and give our thoughts regarding their draft picks. We also talk about the mentorship that Jedrick Wills Jr. is looking for from former Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas.
The guys also discuss the Packers drafting quarterback Jordan Love in the first round and how it may impact Aaron Rodgers’ future with Green Bay, or if this just a similar situation as the one they had with Matt Flynn.
The guys discuss the documentary “50 Summers,” as they speak with the director, Dan, and they discuss the film based around the triple-A affiliate for the Kansas City Royals, the Omaha Storm Chasers. Dan dives into the baseball documentary without giving any necessary spoilers and states that minor league games are always a fun time, just for the atmosphere and the fact that those playing will possibly be in the MLB one day.
Brian O’Hare also comes on the show. Brian is a former military veteran that has anxiety and PTSD, and he discusses how he found out that fighting helps him find his zen. Brian also talks about how he is cutting down from 225 pounds to 155 pounds, and how the current pandemic is affecting his training. Brian gives more details regarding his time in the military and how training for his upcoming fight has brought back his normalcy.
To close the show, the guys talk about how the MLB can make a return by mid-June or July 4th. Yasiel Puig might possibly be signing with the San Francisco Giants – a possible hint that baseball can be starting sooner rather than later, due to the fact that Puig did not think baseball would be played in 2020.
