Jordan Elliott Continues Mizzou D-Line Tradition

By: Andrew Parker

Missouri defensive tackle Jordan Elliott became the latest member of the Mizzou Tigers defensive line to be drafted into the NFL when he was selected in the third round by the Cleveland Browns.

He joins a long list of former Missouri defensive linemen to be drafted this past decade, thus why Mizzou is known for the hashtag “#DLineZou.”

All players listed above are still on active rosters in the NFL with the exception of Michael Sam. The Tigers have done a great job of grooming talent on their defensive line, and Elliott is just another success story.

Elliott didn’t stuff the stat sheet at all during his time on the field, but he showed he has the talent and ability to perform at the next level. Although he did not consistently record the sacks or other numbers, PFF still thought pretty highly of him.

Going to Cleveland and learning under former Mizzou DT Sheldon Richardson will only benefit him in the long run. With Richardson’s leadership, it should not be long before Elliott starts stuffing the stat sheet.
