What can we expect from the Gerogia Swarm this season?
The Swarm closed out the preseason yesterday to prepare for the season opener this evening. During preseason practices, the team was narrowed down to 21 players after starting with 31 three weeks ago. Georgia held an open training camp at Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, Georgia this past weekend where the final decisions were made.
The team has a strong veteran presence, carrying several players who won the World Championship in 2017. They have two rookies from this year’s draft in the starting lineup, Ryan MacSpadyen and Kason Tarbell, who bring depth to the Swarm defense.
Georgia is also returning Joel White, who did not play in the 2018-2019 season. White is a huge piece of the Swarm transition.
Jordan Hall will also be returning after a season with the Philadelphia Wings. Hall put up 67 points with the Wings last season.
Every other player was active on the roster last season. Lyle Thompson, Randy Staats, and Shayne Jackson were the three leading scorers for the Swarm last season, combining for 111 goals.

Expect Georgia to be fast-paced and high scoring all season long. The key for this team will be staying healthy.
Get your first look at the team tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET on B/R Live as the Swarm face the new expansion team, the Rochester Knighthawks. Georgia will have their home opener on December 14th at 7:00 p.m. ET at Infinite Energy Center in Duluth.
