New Bruins Winger Scores on his First Shot

By: Andrew Parker

It was about as good of a start as you could have asked for from new Boston Bruins winger Brett Ritchie.

Just two minutes into the first game of the season, Ritchie scored against his former team on his first shot in a black and gold sweater. It had to be a pretty special moment for the 26-year-old, who never really pieced it all together during his time in Dallas.

For a guy that really did not have any out of this world expectations entering the season, this was an ideal start. With David Krejci out, Ritchie found himself on the second line wing of Charlie Coyle and Jake DeBrusk.

It will be interesting to see where he will be once Krejci returns, but this was a step in the right direction for the former Dallas Star.
